A Georgian Penwork Box - With Some Contents

An early 1800s Penwork box, probably used for sewing items. These boxes were either painted professionally or by the owners who were often very talented. This box has a cottage scene and then the borders have been painted with flowers and leaves. Botanical plants and flowers were very fashionable items to illustrate .The box still has its original pink lining paper .
 
This box comes with some small reels, miny lace bobbin and some old buttons.
 
It measures 15 cm w x 8.5 cm d x 4.7 cm h.
