Victorian Burr Walnut Marquetry Inlaid Writing Table

Description

For sale is a Victorian burr walnut marquetry inlaid writing table, of recessed breakfront outline, bordered with boxwood lines and decorated with foliate scroll designs, the top with a moulded edge and projecting rounded corners, having a lidded compartment with brass three quarter gallery and simulated leather inset panel, having a central shaped apron with trailing husks, flanked by two small drawers, on fluted, beaded and bulbous knopped legs with carved flowerhead roundels, terminating in castors. This piece is in very good condition for its age.
