Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The lamp with a gilt brass collar, decorated with rising and falling leaves. The stem of the lamp of coloured and overlaid glass, with chamfered panels to the baluster shaping. The panels decorated with flowers and leaves.
The whole raised up on scrolled and spreading leaf feet. The underside with a conforming cast iron loading, impressed 'RATCLIFFE, BIRMINGHAM'.
In very nice original condition.
