Antique George II Sterling Silver 3/4 Pint Mug

An antique George II sterling silver mug which has a plain baluster shaped body, a leaf capped scroll handle and resting on a slightly raised circular foot. There is a crest on one side of the body and the interior has been later gilded. This fine silver mug would make a useful addition to a collection and would make an ideal gift. It would hold 3/4 pint of liquid. It weighs 11.5 troy ounces (359 grams).

Length (from rim to back of handle): 11.7 cms (4.6'')
 
Diameter of base: 8.3 cms (3.3'')
 
It was hallmarked in London for 1746 by Thomas Whipham and remains in excellent condition.
