Large Art Deco Silver Mounted Guilloche Enamel Glass Scent Bottle by Mappin & Webb, Birmingham 1927

Description

This sizeable and rather fabulous silver and guilloche enamel scent bottle was made by the renowned Mappin & Webb and is dated Birmingham 1927. The vivid blue enamel hinged lid mounted on a gorgeous cut crystal spherical body. The inner lid gilt. The neck fitted with the original glass stopper.

Hallmarks:

M&W for Mappin & Webb.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "C" for 1927.

Condition:

Excellent.

Dimensions:

Height: 12.5cm / 5 inches.

Diameter at widest: 9cm / 3.4 inches.
