Description

Large Victorian 18ct gold oval locket set with pearls and a Dutch Rose cut diamond weighing 0.10ct in a star design with blue enamel edging and an engine turned pattern around the edge. The locket opens on a side hinge to reveal two compartments, one of which has a glass panel. It is fitted with a large bale so can be worn on a chunky gold chain. The locket is a rich golden colour and tests as 18ct gold. Weight: 23.65gm, measurements: 4.5cm x 3.5cm x 1.5cm (not including the bale), 1 3/4? x 1 1/2? x 5/8?. It is in very good antique condition commensurate with age and wear. C.1860 – 1880. Ref: V1339
