A really fantastic large scale Victorian blanket chest, wearing its original yellowy orange wood grain effect paint. The chest is iron bound, with two ring carrying handles, a partially fitted interior with compartments, and a lid stay that neatly slots away when not in use. Great colour, size and patination.This would work well as a coffee table and offers lots of storage. Condition:Lovely time worn condition. Treated woodworm holes to the base. General wear and tear - much of the original paint on the top has gradually worn off over the years. Ready to be used and enjoyed.
