Description

A gorgeous antique Art Nouveau stick pin (or scarf pin/lapel pin/tie pin/cravat pin) set with a vivid turquoise cabochon and two tiny natural pearls. The piece is not signed but is beautifully made, a lovely quality item.

Marked 15CT, the terminal is made of richly coloured 15-carat gold and sits on a nine-carat gold pin. Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and as this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces, it is attractive to collectors.

The pin is slightly bent but the piece is otherwise in excellent antique condition.

Size: 6cm long. The terminal measures approx 1 x 1cm.
