Antique 1928 Longines pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a calibre 19.75N 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 4,823,277 dates it back to 1928. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has surface scratches across it.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel and it is in good condition, just a couple of shallow indentations to the hinged case back. The inside of the case back is signed with the Longines logo, including the EF Co mark for Ernest Francillon, the founder of Longines.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The signed dial is in lovely condition and it has the three stars beneath the Longines. The three stars were used, in the early period, especially in South America to identify Longines with high quality movements

The watch comes with a double albert, with each measuring 25cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
