Harper & Pleasance were Clockmakers and Retailers from Pleasance and Harper of Bristol from 1879 till 1940 When their Premises were Destroyed by Enemy Bombs.

German Peerless Movements with Embee Gongs are one of the best combinations for Quarter Chiming Musical Clocks. The 8 Day 3 Weight Movement has been Checked, Serviced and Tested to be in Good and Full Antique Working Condition. The Mellow Chimes on 8 Gong Rods plays either Westminster, Whittington or St Michael Tunes. Increasing in Length over the Quarters and then on an additional 4 Gongs it Strikes the Number of Hours on the O'clock.

In addition to the Chime Selector, there are Strike/Silent and Chime/Silent Levers on the Brass Dial with Silvered Chapter Ring

The English Oak Case is of Good Sheen, Patination and Graining with Bevelled Glass to the Trunk Door (which show the 3 substantial weights) and Raised on Bun Feet. 76.75in High or 195cm - an Ideal Size for most homes.
