19th Century Windsor Armchair

An attractive 19th century elm windsor armchair. The antique windsor armchair has a stick and hoop back, with a decorative fret cut central splat. The windsor armchair has a solid elm seat with shaped arms, raised on turned upright supports. The windsor armchair is raised on four turned legs with a double ‘H’ stretcher support. Finished with a fresh coat of natural wax.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the seat (pictured). There is further wear to the supports, including fading to arms and back. The 19th century Windsor armchair remains structurally solid and sound, with good tight joints. Overall, a good example of an antique armchair.
