Georgian Mahogany Campaign Desk Circa 1800

18th century
Description

Very rare George III figured mahogany campaign desk with opening slope desk top supported by lopers when open and fitted within. Two narrow drawers to each side and also having a candle slide. The base fitted with three side drawers and the front inlaid to look like two cupboard doors. Finely turned corner columns and standing on block feet. All in fine original condition with hardly a repair. Original wood knobs to drawers. Lovely rich colour with fine waxed patina. Rarely seen item.

Size; 35" high, 24" wide, 11.5" deep.
