Pair George II Mahogany Chairs Circa 1760

Description

Fine pair George III Chippendale style cuban mahogany single chairs with lovely pierced backs and with a little carving to top rail. Raised on square chamfered legs united with, most unusually, deep pierced stretchers as per design in Directory. Both in fine original condition and are firm and ready for use. Lovely deep rich colour with great waxed patina. Superb examples of their kind.

Size; 38" high, 23" wide, 21" deep. 18" seat height.
