Elegant Silver Three Piece Condiment Set by Charles Green & Co, Birmingham 1947

1920 - 1940
Description

This distinctive solid silver three piece cruet set is hallmarked for Birmingham 1947 and bears the marks of the Reputed silversmiths Charles S Green & Co. All pieces fitted with the original blue glass liners. The peppers with pull-off cover and baluster finial. The mustard with a very slightly domed hinged cover.

Fitted in their original presentation case. A very stylish set in good condition

Hallmarks:

CSG&Co for Charles S Green & Co Ltd.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "X" for 1947.

Condition:

Good.

Pedestal foot on salt slightly mid-sharpen. Only noticeable when turned upside down and mentioned for accuracy .

Diameter of base: 2.5cm / 1 inch.

Mustard:

Height: 6cm / 2.3 inches.
