A fine and rare Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer Pottery Tureen and Cover of vase form by John Rogers and Son of Dale Hall, Longport, Staffordshire { 1814 - 36 }, printed in the popular ''Elephant'' pattern. Attractive ''Lion''s Head'' finial and good clear transfers throughout, the base impress marked ROGERS beneath the foot. This lovely piece would have formed the central section of a Supper Set, the whole of which would have sat upon a fitted mahogany tray.
