Exquisite Silver and Pique Tortoiseshell Pill Box, London 1925

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a very pretty silver and pique tortoiseshell compact or pill box. Hallmarked for London 1910. The tortoiseshell hinged cover intricately inlaid with ribbon-tied garlands surrounding a vacant cartouche. The solid silver circular base with gilt interior. The inner lid with original mirror.

Hallmarks:

Maker's marks erased.

London Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "k" for 1925.

Condition:

Very good.

Tortoiseshell in good glossy condition.

Silver base in very good condition, no dents.

Maker's marks erased, reflected in the price.

Dimensions:

Diameter: 4cm / 1.4 inches.

Height: 1.5cm / 0.4 inches.
