Description

A fine set of mid Victorian brass fire irons or fire tools dating to c1860. They are a substantial weighty set with solid brass cone and knob handles. The shafts are strengthened with rings. The shovel is grooved and she’ll shaped, with no weakness where it joins the shaft. The poker has a good cast iron tip. The tongs are not loose and connect evenly at their tip. In excellent condition for their age and still good for the job.
