Description

A striking Spode bone china coffee can and saucer painted in underglaze blue, iron red enamel and gilding with the "dollar" pattern, number 715, c.1805. Unmarked.

The can measures 6.5cm (2 1/2") high and 6.5cm (2 1/2") rim to rim. The saucer measures 13.7 (5 3/8") wide and 3cm (1 1/8") high.

In good condition, the saucer has a star hairline to the centre but still rings well. Some wear to the gilding.
