Small Welsh Oak Potboard Dresser Base C.1800

Description

Charming little early 19th.c. Welsh oak dresser base c.1800. Unusual small size, just over five feet wide. Three plank top with a simple moulded detail to the edge over three slim drawers with period brass handles. Unusually deep apron made from a single board with very elaborate shaped arches below each drawer, a lovely piece of vernacular design and craftsmanship. Raised on chamfered square front stiles over an open potboard display shelf with oak boards. Excellent colour and condition cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
