Antique Waltham pocket watch, 1902.

The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement, grade 620, which is working nicely. The movement has beautifully patterned plates, a Breguet hairspring for enhanced precision and screw-set jewels. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 11,456,376 dates it back to 1902.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model from the Dennison Watch Case Company. Dennisons was a Birmingham based watch case manufacturer who supplied Waltham UK with most of their cases. The case is in good condition, a small 5mm patch of rubbing on the back and a few little pin prick marks by the hinge but overall, very acceptable.

The glass lens has a couple of small marks.

The signed dial looks good to the naked eye. There is a short faint hairline between 9 and 10 but it is difficult to see with the naked eye. Original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
