Oriental Carved Camphor Wood Trunk

A well presented early 20th century antique carved camphor wood trunk. The camphor wood trunk has an inset glass top with intricate carved detail to the lid. The hinged lid opens to reveal a spacious interior with a sliding tray. There is a decorative brass lock plate to the front but no locking bar. The camphor wood trunk has carved detail to the front, back, and sides and is raised on bracket feet. A rather good example. Would work particularly well as a coffee table.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the front and sides. The top remains in good condition and has been protected by the glass top. The trunk is structurally sound. A good quality example.
