Antique Victorian Carved Mahogany Armchair Chair

Description

A wonderful original late 19th century carved mahogany shield back carver chair in the George III style. This was made in England & dates from around the 1880-90’s period.

It is of extremely fine quality, with stunning carving all over the back and arms. The legs are beautifully tapered and terminate in spade end feet. This is a very useful size to be used as an occasional side chair or even as a desk chair.

The mahogany has a gorgeous colour tone and patina. The condition is excellent for its age, we have had the frame polished to a high standard, it is sturdy and sound. We have also had the seat newly upholstered in our cream cotton fabric.

Height – 38 inches , 97 cm

Seat height – 18 inches , 46 cm
