A Fabulous French Empire Period Silver & Cranberry Glass Mustard Pot

A fabulous French Empire silver mustard pot, dating from the beginning of the 1800's. This appealing and rare example has a drum shaped body made of cranberry glass. The body is a central base support, three architectural design side supports and a loop handle. The lid is removable and has a steeple finial. A wonderful early example, still usable today. Condition :- Excellent with no dents or losses. There is no damage to the glass liner.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. 'Poincon de l'an V' and the ' Moyenne Garantie', Paris Provinces mark.

Date :- Paris c1800.

Depth :- 8.5 cms. (including handle).

Diameter :- 6.5 cms. (widest point).

Height :- 10 cms. (highest point).
