Description

A delightful late 19thC Art Nouveau brass folding letter or paper rack and stamp box c1880. There are three folding rack supports giving space for two sizes of envelope or paper. At the front is a lidded stamp box. The folding racks are decorated with a pierced floral (daisy) design on curved stems. A similar design is used on the solid lid of the stamp box. The stamp box and rack fold so they could be used for travelling in the days of yore. The front rack has two little protruding supports so the rack can flat. The operating spring is underneath and works fine. The racks fold easily though the front rack needs a bit more pressure. A perfect item for the desk surface.
