Set of 8 Antique Mahogany Shield Back Dining Chairs

1920 - 1940
Description

An excellent set of 8 antique Hepplewhite style shield back dining chairs in mahogany. These were made in England & I would date them to around the 1930’s period.

The quality is excellent, there are six side chairs and two carver armchairs. They sit on tapered legs and have lovely carving on the back rests.

We have had these re-polished and re-upholstered in our cream cotton fabric, the condition is excellent for their age. There is just a little age related wear beneath the polish here and there.

Carvers:

Width – 24 inches , 60 cm

Depth – 23 inches , 59 cm

Height – 38 inches , 97 cm

Side chairs:

Width – 20 inches , 51 cm

Depth – 21 inches , 54 cm

Height – 38 inches , 97 cm

Seat height – 18 inches , 46 cm
