Drocourt Striking Carriage Clock

Description

A quality striking carriage clock of smaller proportions by noted maker Drocourt. An enamel dial with 5 minute outer markers and blued steel hands. Noted retailers on the dial 'J W Benson 25 Old Bond Street (London). An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a gong with the original lever escapement. Numbered 35841. D.C. stamp to the backplate. Circa 1900.
