A stunning tall vanity / dressing table jar, probably used for either hatpins or a toothbrush, hence the little cork lining to the interior of the base.
The glass is channel cut and then hand -engraved with the prettiest floral and foliate design with a ribbon and bow garlands to the sides.
The top is made from solid English sterling silver with an engine turned decoration. the top with a stunning gold / taupe coloured guilloche enamel with a lovely shiny finish showcasing the design below.
The interior of the lid is lavishly gilded and is where the full English hallmark can be found for London 1931 together with makers mark for the top-notch silversmith, Goldsmith''s and Silversmith''s Co. Ltd.
Excellent condition measuring 1 1/2'' x 1 1/4'' x 6 3/4'' tall.
