Antique Ash and Elm Captain’s Chair

An unusual 19th century antique ash and elm captain’s chair with adjustable head rest. The captain’s armchair has a spindle back with shaped, outswept arms. The seat is raised on four turned legs with a double H stretcher support. To the back is an adjustable height head rest. Originally used by a barber.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and staining to the seat (pictured). The captain’s chair remains structurally solid and sound with good tight joints. An unusual and interesting piece.

In case of return, items must be received back in the same condition as delivered and a collection fee of £85 will apply, this would be deducted from any refund amount.
