Description
A fine Georgian Spode bone china trio of tea cup, coffee cup and saucer in the London shape. A fabulous stylised pattern known as the banana tree, painted in an imari palette of underglaze mazarine blue and iron red enamel with ornate gilt decoration. All pieces marked SPODE 2214 in red enamel and the saucer and coffee cup with additional workman marks. c.1810. The saucer measures 13.8cm (5 1/2") wide and 3cm (1 1/8") high. The tea cup measures 6.5cm (2 1/2") high to the handle and 9cm (3 1/2") rim to rim and the coffee cup measures 7cm (2 3/4") high and 7.3cm (2 7/8") rim to rim. In excellent condition with no damage or repair and only very minor stacking wear to the saucer, minimal handling wear otherwise. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. Price includes UK postage.
