Description

Circa early 20th Century a heavy and well made small brass candle holder, full of character.

It measures 10cm in height and approximately 15cm across at the widest part, and takes 1.5cm in diameter candles.

Inside the curved base each section has herons or cranes, the candle cup is supported by what appears to be a lion with a winged lower half forming part of the handle.

The thumb rest of the handle is the top of a hat of a character that could be Rip Van Winkle, or another character from that period.

All the images on the candle holder are clear and well cast, and it has been professionally polished but not lacquered.
