The interior has various fitted drawers and compartments for holding maps, navigational instruments, and documents. Some of the compartments slid forward and reveal further storage below. Made from mixed woods including oak, pine and mahogany. A particularly impressive piece of antique furniture.

CONDITION REPORT:
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, and chips to the paint work (pictured). The Captain’s sea chest remains structurally solid and sound. The interior is in good condition with the drawers running well. Overall, a wonderful piece of antique furniture with an attractive painted finish and quality interior.
