Description

A stunning Victorian biscuit box, a most unusual square shape with the frame having an almost Christopher Dresser look to it.

The heavy glass liner is beautifully cut with the ever-popular and highly decorative hobnail cut, with a star cut base.

The underside of the frame is where the silversmith's initials can be found for the renowned Atkin Brothers.

Dating to around 1860, it remains in excellent condition measuring 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" (foot to foot) and 8 3 /4" tall to top of handle when standing up.
