Description

This lovely watercolour painting of a Scottish loch landscape is signed by Edward Arden, in the lower right corner. The painting is finished with a high-quality gold frame and Artglass 99™ which blocks out 99% of harmful UV rays and maintains the colour and quality of the artwork.
About Edward Arden (Edward Tucker Jnr.)
Edward Arden (1847-1910) was born in Bristol and also lived in London, Brighton, Ambleside and finally ended up in Windermere.
He was the Eldest son of Edward Tucker Senior, however he signed his paintings ‘Edward Arden’ to avoid confusion with his father’s work. He was also the brother of Arthur Tucker RBA, Frederick Tucker, Alfred R. Tucker and Hubert Coutts Tucker RI, who were all listed artists too. Edward Arden (Tucker) was a landscape painter in watercolour and specialised in Lake District scenes.
Although the Tucker brothers painted Lakeland landscapes, they also travelled to their other favourite places around Britain, including Anglesey and Iona.
He exhibited at the Royal Hibernian Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Institute, Royal Scottish Academy, the Manchester City Gallery and Liverpool’s Walker Gallery and at other prestigious galleries and institutions.
