A mid 19thC mid Victorian era cut lead crystal decanter dating to c1860. The decanter has a lower band of close diamond cut lattice, and a star cut base. On the shoulder is a ring of wide slice cut panels, below which is a cut garland of individual floral shapes - a mix of themes with chrysanthemum petal centres, outer foliage and harebell drops - united by a hanging garland of circles. The neck is step and slice cut in four tiers to the rim, with a star cut stopper.

Cutting lead crystal was mastered c1820, and from then on, more complex designs appeared, and it seems this was one of them.
