The main frontage of the chest is lavishly decorated with finely cut marquetry depicting tightly knit rolling foliage and flowers.
The chest has superb colour and patination, and is in excellent condition.
The chest has an untouched patina with scratches, marks and old restorations, with some minor losses to the marquetry , along with later handles and escutcheons- commensurate with age.
The back bares some old removals labels for a lady Watt 29/05/1929.
