This extra large Victorian silver plated butler's tray which is made by renowned maker Elkington & Co dates from 1864 and is a wonderful heavy quality piece.

This tray is a huge size and features a decorative rope design to the top edge which also twists around the two stylish handles.

The top has a wonderful engraved design with a central monogram and the underside is marked with the maker's details which dates this tray to 1864.

This stylish tray is a nice usable accessory for displaying your barware etc. The extra large size is perfect for carrying many items and it looks great on display with it's wonderful twisted rope design.

Marked to base: Maker's mark of E M &Co. E&Co for Elkington & Co. Date letter Z for 1864. Reg No. 6355. 28.

Dimensions: 73.5 cm (29") Length including handles. 49.5 cm (19 1/2") Width. 7 cm (2 3/4") Height to top of handles.

Weight: 4244 g.

Condition: Very good antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. No holes, breaks, splits or damage. Some all over wear to plate. Some light surface scratches, marks and tarnish.
