Description

Mid 19th.c. walnut centre table c.1870 reduced in height to make a large feature coffee table. Oval top with highly figured burr walnut veneers arranged in a symmetrical pattern with inlaid marquetry border of birds all laid onto solid mahogany groundwork. Deep thumb moulded and crossbanded edge and apron. On a turned pedestal and four shaped legs in solid walnut with scroll detail to the feet. Top can be tipped to vertical when not in use (or removed for delivery), locking into place with the original brass catch. Good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
