George III Mahogany Pembroke Table

Description

A George III Mahogany Pembroke Table.

The top of serpentine shape, the two leaves rising and falling on rule joints and supported by gate lopers. The frieze set with cockbeaded edge drawer, opening with the original swan neck handle to the mahogany lined drawer. The four square section legs decorated with vertical rounded corner moulds, enclosing serpentine shaping. The legs joined by swept cross stretchers with pierced tear drop centres, meeting a concave centre.

Height 28 1/2 inches, 73cm.

Width, leaves down 18 inches, 46cm.

Depth 30 inches, 76cm.
