A Fabulous and Rare Pair of George III Cherry Wood Chairs in Original ''Country House'' Condition, Circa 1760-1770.
The carved cresting rail is decorated with soft sweeping carved acanthus leaves and centred by a cartouche.
The splat, of typical design after Thomas Chippendale is beautifully decorated in a mirrored fashion of scrolls and acanthus leaves, centred by an illusion carving flowing down to the moulded carved shoe.
The drop-in seats are traditionally upholstered.
The chairs are of very good colour and are richly patinated.
