Description

1950s mid-size Shield wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 30mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs so it is classed as a mid-size piece. The main body of the case is gold plated and it is in lovely condition, just some marking where the case back has rubbed on the reverse of the watch. The case back is stainless steel.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with concentric circles running through the numbers, original hands and a subsidiary seconds dial. There is some age related discolouration but it has a lovely warm appearance.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in its original presentation box.
