A Georgian Silver 'Egg' Nutmeg Grater

A delightful Georgian silver egg shaped nutmeg grater from the late 18th Century. This charming little piece is of plain and un-engraved form The body unscrews from the centre to reveal the original steel grater which is removable. It is marked inside the lid with only the Maker's mark, which is not at all unusual for the time. A wonderful, rare and collectable piece. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good, with no holes or splits.There are a few small 'digs' and blemishes, commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Makers mark poorly struck and distorted.

Length :- 3.5 cms.

Diameter :- 2.2 cms. (Widest point).
