Description

An impressive & large antique mahogany desk in the Chippendale style. This was made in England & we would date it from around the 1930’s period.

It is of superb quality and has lots of lovely features. The inset leather top is also of great quality, it is gold tooled and aged beautifully with a wonderful patina. The pedestals sit on claw and ball feet, this is nicely finished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item. The top edge of the desk is gadrooned, the sides are panelled and grooved down the front and back edges. There is a double drawer in the lower right section, all of the drawers have working locks and this comes with a single key that works for all of them.

We have given this a fresh wax polish, the condition is excellent for its age, with only some extremely minor wear here and there.
