Fine Old Sheffield Plated Egg Cruet C1830 Roberts Smith & Co

Description

A fine early 19th Century Old Sheffield Plated egg cruet. Marked to the base to the stand and cups for Roberts Smith & Co, Sheffield (1828). A beautiful floral and leaf design. The cups are faintly gilded to the interiors. The stand is tinned to the base.

The condition is good overall with only minor signs of age related wear and a small amount of faint copper bleed to the raised edges. The spoons are later replacements, but fit perfectly well.

Weight approx 1.3kg.

Height approx 20cm.

Diameter approx 18cm.

Height of egg cup approx 6.5cm, with a diameter of approx 4.5cm
