In the centre of the column is a further round shelf which would have likely had a gallery around at some point.
It is in good condition for its age with a lovely rich patina. It is strong and sturdy with no major damages. There are some signs of age and use, small knocks and marks and some fading on the top but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
