A Regency Leather Upholstered Reading Chair

Description

A Regency leather upholstered reading chair, in rosewood and simulated rosewood. The chair is raised on turned and reeded front legs and sabre back legs all with original brass castors. The scroll arms and lower rail are faced and have carved foliate detailing. The right arm has a brass ferrule which receives the support arm for the adjustable rosewood reading stand. The chair is beautifully upholstered in hand dyed leather and has brass nailing, float buttons and a feather filled cushion. In very good condition. 980mm high, 820mm wide, 840mm deep and 450mm seat height. English. Circa 1825.
