Description

This delightful silver and tortoiseshell small dressing table jar is dated Birmingham 1915 and was made by the prolific Edward Souter Barnsley. The tortoiseshell friction lid heightened with an elegant silver border. Mounted on a delightful etched glass baluster body.

Hallmarks:

E.S.B for Edward Souter Barnsley.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "p" for 1915.

Condition:

Very good.

Glass in perfect condition. No chips or cracks.

Tortoiseshell glossy.

Dimensions:

Height: 6cm / 2.5 inches.

Diameter at widest: 6cm / 2.5 inches.
