19th Century French Kingwood and marquetry secretaire vitrine / display cabinet, having a shaped top decorated with an ormolu moulded edge and ormolu floral and leaf mounts, below having shaped glass on the front and either sides, the single hinged door opening to reveal a red velvet lined interior with a glass shelf, the sides and front of the vitrine having large marquetry inlaid panels depicting floral decoration, the front panel folding down to reveal a secretaire with a pigeon hole and four satinwood drawers, supported on four elegant cabriole legs topped by foliate ormolu mounts with rams heads. Superb quality ormolu mounts throughout and in very good condition. Circa 1870.
