Description

An excellent antique mahogany writing table / desk, also known as a bonheur du jour. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1930’s.

It is of superb quality, and is beautifully designed. It sits on beautifully turned legs with lovely carving. the desk area has three larger lower drawers and four smaller upper drawers. The drawers are all oak lined, with fine hand cut dovetailed joints and original brass handles. The inset leather top is gold tooled and is also of extremely fine quality. The back is also beautifully finished, so this can be used as a free standing item.

We have given this a clean and fresh wax polish, the condition is excellent for its age, with only some extremely minor wear beneath the polish here and there.
