Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Regency era.
A lovely addition to any period property.

These very rare pair of chairs feature a moulded, shaped and curved head rail over a curved and shaped splat. The chair has shepherds crock scrolled arm supports on shaped side rails which finishes to finely turned front legs. The chairs original drop in seat pads have been fully rebuilt and reupholstered in a lovely fine red velvet material. The inner padding is horse hair and webbing (which has been replaced), the chairs are very comfortable to sit on. The chairs are solid with no loose joints or wobbles. There are less than a hand-full of historic woodworm holes on the underside rails of each chair which is not active and do not compromise the chairs in any way (which is excellent with the age of these chairs).

These charming chairs are in lovely original condition with their original rich mahogany colour and polished finish with patina, they have never been re-polished. We have sympathetically restored these chairs by carefully cleaning and waxing these chairs to preserve them and give the stunning natural sheen they have.

Please note; These chairs are in a lovely condition for their age as shown by the photographs, however being antiques of this age there may be blemishes here and there which we feel adds to their charm and character.
