In many years of searching and dealing in the very best decorative carpets, I have not seen a small Ziegler quite as beautiful as this little gem. Like a much larger rug that has been shrunk down to this wonderful diminutive size, everything about it hits the right note; The exquisite light blue ground colour, the two pairs of necking lovebirds, the repeating medallion design that runs under the border in an ever lasting eternity and the wonderful proportions, almost square with a broad, handsome border.
